Because venous thromboembolism is a serious disease, Sanofi supported the Directorate of the Royal Medical Services(DRMS) in Jordan to launch the Deep Venous Thromboembolism Safety Zone campaign with the DRMS.
The campaign raised awareness on the seriousness of venous thromboembolism (VTE), and the need to take the necessary measures to prevent it. It is aimed for healthcare professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists and nurses to highlight the need for the early detection of VTE and the necessity for preventive treatment for those at risk, in addition to carrying out a routine assessment of the risks of VTE in every hospitalized patients.
The conference stressed on the importance of the enrollment of Deep Venous Thromboembolism prevention topic within the priorities of the health care system in Jordan due to the seriousness of VTE as a risk factor in post-op patients.
